Dr.Matthew Hoyt graduated with his clinical doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) in 2016 from the University of New Mexico. He has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings over the past several years that has allowed him to work with all population types including pediatrics, geriatrics, and everyone in between. Matthew grew up in Alamogordo, and is very proud to be able to help the community. Matthew currently lives in Las Cruces with his wife, two year old daughter, and two Italian Greyhounds. He enjoys exercising and watching sports during his time away from the clinic.

Derek Halladay, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, is a managing member and office manager at Back in Action Therapy. He was a member of the University of New Mexico Track & Field team from 2008-2013 while completing his bachelors degree in Exercise Science. In 2016, he graduated with his MBA from Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. Derek enjoys watching sports and playing video games in his free time. 

Deborah grew up in Chama, New Mexico. She graduated from NMSU in 2011 with a BS in Biology, BA in psychology, and a Minor in Chemistry. Deborah graduated with a MS in Breathing Sciences in 2016, and received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Western Technical College in 2021. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and three dogs. She also enjoys traveling and seeing new places. 

Zach grew up in Lovington, New Mexico. He graduated from NMSU in 2019 with a BS in Kinesiology. Zach obtained his PTA degree from San Juan College in 2022. When not at work, he enjoys exercising, golf, and spending time with his dog. Zach enjoys working with all ages and demographics, promoting a functional lifestyle for everyone.

Margaret grew up in South Florida, moving to Las Cruces in 1992. She partnered in opening up a gym, combining her passions of physical therapy, health and fitness. Margaret offers over 30 years of an extensive range of training and experience in orthopedics, neurological involved patients, sports medicine, work conditioning and pediatrics.

She first received her physical therapy assistant degree, with her primary goal in mind of becoming a physical therapist. She achieved that in 1989, receiving her degree from Florida International University. Her favorite past time is to spend time with friends and family, particularly her son. Other interest are traveling, working out at the gym, hiking with her dogs and biking.

Dr. Anthony Tovar received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State
University in 2024. His approach to physical therapy is to educate and empower his
patients to achieve their highest potential for functional independence and improve their
quality of life. Anthony grew up in Lordsburg, New Mexico, and strives to promote health
and wellness within his community. Outside of work, Anthony enjoys staying active
through exercise and recreational sports, and to relax he enjoys binge watching shows
with his girlfriend and cat.

Margaret moved from El Paso to Las Cruces ten years ago. She attended Mountain View High School and graduated in 1999. Margaret received her certification as a Medical Office Specialist in 2003. She is happily married with two beautiful girls. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family along with reading, organizing, cleaning, decorating, and finding new projects for her home. 

Jaimie grew up in Grants, New Mexico. She graduated from New Mexico State with Associates of Science and General Studies. She is happily married and has two beautiful children. In her spare time she loves to spend time with family, shopping, exercising and reading. She loves to travel and see new places. 

Lauryn Corrigan is a committed Physical Therapy Exercise Technician at Back in Action Therapy. Before joining our team, she honed her leadership and adaptability skills as a restaurant manager at Denny's. Now, she's passionately pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, demonstrating her dedication to professional growth and her ambition to become a Physical Therapist.
 

Originally hailing from Farmington, NM, and having resided in the Houston area, Lauryn moved to Cruces in 2021. This geographical journey reflects her adaptability and openness to new experiences. When not assisting our patients or pursuing her studies, Lauryn enjoys reading, traveling, and socializing with friends. With her unique background and determination, Lauryn Corrigan brings a distinctive touch to patient care at Back in Action Therapy.

Leticia was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM. She has worked with multiple businesses in Las Cruces in which she has developed her years of experience in Management and Customer Service skills.  These years of experience have allowed her to build many professional relationships in the community.  In her free time Leticia enjoys spending time with family, her pup and working on house projects.
