Alamogordo
Dr. Scott Nufer
Physical Therapist
Dr. Scott Nufer is originally from Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from BYU, with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Ballroom Dance. Partway through his college education, he took 2 years off for a full-time mission to Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended RMUoHP in Utah for his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. His clinical internships included a 6-week term at Provo Rehab and Nursing in Utah, and a year-long outpatient term at Benchmark Physical Therapy in Oakwood and Commerce, Georgia.
Scott is certified in dry needling (Cert. DN) from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Scott loves pretty much any sport, woodworking, and playing guitar and singing. He is a happy husband, and father of 5 beautiful children.
Dr. Rachael Haverporth
Physical Therapist, Clinic Director
Dr. Haverporth grew up in Missouri, and received her physical therapy degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is certified in McKenzie and specialized in Hesch and vestibular therapy techniques. McKenzie is a method that focuses on patient education and self-care to treat the spine and extremities by using specific repeated movements and prevention measures. Hesch is a method design to help patients learn how to align their hips and pelvis with easy, non-painful techniques. Dr. Haverporth has experience working with pediatrics, neuro, and cardiac rehab patients.
Ambareen Saiyed
Physical Therapist
Ambareen is originally from India and graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from SPB Physiotherapy College, Surat – India in 2010; and MS in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO –USA in 2014. She worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including multispecialty hospitals and clinics in India before moving back to the United States as a travel physical therapist in 2018. Her clinical interests include orthopedic conditions including arthritis, adhesive capsulitis, cervicalgia, LBP with or without radiculopathy, sprains/ strains; neurological conditions; and balance training. Her practice primarily includes manual therapy with therapeutic exercises to manage pain and improve functional outcomes.
Rochell Geronimo
Physical Therapist
Rochell is originally from the Philippines and graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in 2015. She worked in both private and public hospitals in the Philippines before coming to the United States as a travel physical therapist in 2018. She has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings including a hospital in New Mexico. She completed the dry needling course for the lower extremities from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy in 2019. She also has experience working with geriatrics, neurological, and orthopedic patients. Rochell is a wife to a member of the United States Air Force. In her free time, she does paintings using watercolors and oils.
Rena Collins
Front Desk Coordinator
Rena was born and raised in Alamogordo, NM. She has been happily married to her husband Les for 24 years and has three children, along with two grandchildren. Rena enjoys reading, writing poetry, and spending time with friends and family. She has been a loyal employee with Back in Action Therapy for the past ten years!
Kristen Archuleta
Therapy Technician
Kristen Archuleta is from Alamogordo, NM and started with Back in Action Therapy in March of 2020. She has earned her certificate as a physical therapy aide from Dona Ana Community College, and is continuing her education to become a physical therapist. Kristen is newly married and blessed with 6 children (3 girls and 3 boys).
Las Cruces
Dr. Matthew Hoyt
Physical Therapist, Owner
Dr. Matthew Hoyt graduated with his clinical doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) in 2016 from the University of New Mexico. He has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings over the past several years that has allowed him to work with all population types including pediatrics, geriatrics, and everyone in between. Matthew grew up in Alamogordo, and is very proud to be able to help the community. Matthew currently lives in Las Cruces with his wife, and two Italian Greyhounds. He enjoys exercising and watching sports during his time away from the clinic.
Dr. Alex Kruse
Physical Therapist
Dr. Alex Kruse graduated with her clinical doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) in 2012 from Rosalind Franklin University in Illinois. She has extensive experience working in outpatient orthopedic clinics treating patients of all ages with a variety of physical therapy needs. In 2018 she completed a two and a half year manual therapy certification program which has enriched her treatment approach and skill set leading to more efficient and effective patient care. After spending two years as a traveling therapist she decided to take permanent residence in Las Cruces and continue working as part of the Back in Action family. When she is not working she enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking, rock climbing and traveling.
Margaret Belanger
Front Desk Coordinator
Margaret moved from El Paso to Las Cruces ten years ago. She attended Mountain View High School and graduated in 1999. Margaret received her certification as a Medical Office Specialist in 2003. She is happily married with two beautiful girls. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family along with reading, organizing, cleaning, decorating, and finding new projects for her home.
